Last night a white-supremacist right-wing gun nut murdered nine worshippers in a black church. Today we've got three different threads here, all created within 15 minutes of one another:

I admit to being naturally suspicious, but even so it feels to me like someone is trying to draw attention away from the very real problems with racism and guns that we have, right now, in this country.

And look, the article even calls it a 'spree' again!!

Now, that is something you'd never hear the press call shootings if an African American or Jewish person did it (but they generally don't go on rampage shootings anyway).

But did any of you hear about this story from the far right rags?

Of course not.

So here's my question - are Jewish conservatives really buying that antisemitism from the far-right whiteys just "suddenly disappeared", though the racism clearly didn't?

Do they really believe the far-right whiteys aren't saying Jews are "taking their jobs" and "are taking over" and "have too many special rights" too, just like they say about Mexicans and blacks?

I can personally guarantee you - YES. THEY.DO - especially in the south, but not exclusively (just ask comedian Chevy Chase or anyone who ever worked with him).

Worse, some of them even still blame Jews for the death of Christ, which is nonsense - evil, greedy political men killed Christ, their espoused faith wouldn't have mattered, faith was just means to power for such people..

They just say these things about conservative Jews behind their backs, after their votes and checks have cleared;)

To a white-supremacist sympathizer, I guess - because their mindset is that I must hate my own race and religion to stand up for blacks, mexicans and jews (despite some white supremacists pretending Jews are their new BFFs right now).

Oh, but I see now what the problem REALLY is to get all these personal attacks directed at myself and Blanche within 10 minutes. Blanche must've hit the nail on the head with her pointing out a certain poster/commenter's "deflect/distract" posting pattern ;)

PS - btw, I pray, every day, for any women who live even peripherally around that commenter. Because true character is what we when we do when we think no one's watching, it's not just an "online act" while anonymous. If those close to that commenter ever say "no" or expose him in any way, even accidentally, they'll see those true colors up close and personal.

I'll try to look at the paranoid delusion of being a paid troll - erm - I mean misguided false accusation of being a paid troll like commenter above you said, that it's some sort of weird, backhanded compliment and they consider us a serious threat to their obviously superior debating skills (cough, cough).

But first I speculate they'd call him a Jewish immigrant behind his back, trying to take their jobs and take over.

Publicly, however, they'd smear him a "self-hating jew" and muslim lover for not taking sides in jewish-muslim conflict and disagreeing with them on certain politics.

THEN they'd call him a christian-hater for not supporting Christians shunning gays in business and for calling out the hypocrisy in right-wing politicians who use his father's name for power and money, as thieves in his father's house.

I'm a Christian, but I don't blind myself to history or others just BECAUSE they wave that flag either.

The commenter I replied to said "The jews DID kill Christ, all religions kill".

My point was the religion itself doesn't matter and that Christians have killed for power too.

Then I went on to make tongue-in-cheek conjecture about what might happen if Jesus showed up again unannounced.

I just laugh my head off. Anyone with any education outside of their home can see that there are at least 3 different writing styles, whereas that poster sees only 1. LOL. Says more about that poster than it does about us, and tells you everything you need to know.

I am not Julia nor Blanche, and Blanche is not Julia nor me. There are at least 3 of us, minimum, and I believe I see 5 distinct liberal posters who come to this board on a regular basis and several who come less frequently.

Every time the conservative "repeater" on the board posts this same mindless "Sybil" drivel, it speaks volumes about what they think they know versus the truth. If you actually think there's only one liberal poster, you might want to reexamine everything else you were just so sure you thought you knew.

There have been 2 verified accounts now of Roof claiming he did this because they were black.
1) He said he was killing them because "they were raping his women and they had to go."
2) His roommate has reported he wanted to kill blacks.

Fox is foxishly sticking their heads in the sand, and lolling about saying well, it happened in a church, must not like Christians. Maybe the guy doesn't like red carpet too.
