Most mentally ill people don't really plan anything. They're impulsive. Face it. The guy was a racist and couldn't hold a job in journalism but instead of doing something about it by finding out why and changing, he decided to blame it on someone else and kill someone.

LIke the station manager stated, he stuck around for TWO YEARS after he was fired. Most reporters move on to other places as a reporter. They don't stick around in a place where they can't get a job in that field.

and if you read/listen to them read the parts of the manifesto, he was a very disturbed person. I guess if you think he accusing people of discriminating against him is racist, then I guess he was racist too, but I think more than that he was off his rocker. I think he was all kinds of crazy and this probably was not limited to just race. It seems like the church shootings were just the catalyst that set him off, but it probably could have been anything as he was definitely not stable.
