transcribing from a DVD

Posted: May 16, 2013

I just had a quick question that maybe someone can answer - I am going to be transcribing interviews from a DVD for a student's doctoral dissertation. Is there any way to use a foot pedal to manage the audio on a DVD?

Convert DVD to MP3 or wav file (or any other type of audio file) and then use Express Scribe with your foot pedal. I don't know how to convert the file, but I do know that it is possible. To start, do a general search for "convert DVD to MP3" (or other type of audio file) on the internet or at the Express Scribe website.

Program Switch can change audio files but not sure - about DVD. Has free trial period. nm
