that just have to have a particular keyboard or you cannot work? I had my taxes done this past weekend and told the person filling them out that bought a new computer to which she said no new keyboards because one comes with that. I buy mine on Ebay and bought 4 this past year. Mine are not made anymore (that I know of) and if and when these give out, oh my! I have stockpiled the ones I have just in case. Mine has an extremely large enter key with a shift right underneath, gotta have the home keys in a column 2 each side by side for total of 6 with the up and down keys below them. I have in the past had issues with a keyboard giving out, ran to Wal-Mart only to buy one that drove me bananas until I could get my old style back. Anyone else out there like me? ;
Don't tell me. Aren't they all like that?? - nm

I have to use the exact same keyboard set up as the OP. I have a hard time using the ones that have the backwards L shaped enter key because then the back slash key is in the wrong spot. I have a horribly heavy hand on the keyboard and kill about three or four a year. I also have to find mine on ebay because I loooooove the touch on those cheap keyboards that used to come with the Dell computers.
I will use only Memorex spillproof - TS1100 which is no longer made.

I buy them on eBay; I have 6 left, more than enough to finish my career. I use them until the plastic wears off and I am typing on metal.

About six months ago my old keyboard conked out and I bought a Microsoft Natural 4000 because a friend has one and swears by it. I use my computer for my school work as well as for work-work and I have never had such a great keyboard as the 4000. I'm a guy and I'm quite fussy about keyboards for some reason, but this baby's a gem--and for only $30 on Amazon.I didn't think I could adapt to an ergo board, but after one day, my line count shot up!

Cats And KeyboardsJun 07, 2012Has anyone else noticed that ever since they invented "Windows" keyboards, your cat can screw up your computer in all sorts of strange and wonderful ways?
In the old days, the worst thing that Rocky Rhodes could do by strolling across my keyboard was to reboot my computer, and that took some doing (stepping on control, alt, delete at the same time). Now, Rocky can make my screen disappear, mute my headphone, etc. because Windows keyboards have all these extra function keys.
