everything under the sun and nothing has worked. I swear my fleas are evil!! I have no money now for pest control via someone like Terminix since all this other stuff took all my money. :(((

fleas - hate them
[ In Reply To ..]I shook 20 Mule Team Borax (in laundry section of store) on my carpets and floors and left it there for a few days. I don't know what effect it will have on your pets, but it killed the fleas. (I was pet-sitting at my house for one dog. Dog left fleas as a thank-you when owner took dog home.)
When I swept it up, it looked like salt and pepper. Yech. I don't know what it will do to your pets, though.

[ In Reply To ..]I have heard that a good way to use this is to put the borax in small, shallow containers (like a catfood can) and place them strategically (i.e. under the bed, etc.).
I have had great success using a flea comb. I would let the cats stand in the bathroom sink while using the comb. Amazingly, the fleas stay on the comb, so you can take them off and snap them. I was surprised how well this worked, and the fleas were eradicated within a week or two.
I find flea combs to help too, in conjunction with - Advantage. I have 2 Persians, - sm
[ In Reply To ..]and with all that long, thick hair, the fleas have a lot of hiding places! I try to make it a daily ritual where I do a little flea-hunt with the comb.
Had to laugh... while patiently and meticulously picking through my cats' coats, it dawned on me that it's exacly like gorillas do when they groom each other. The only difference, of course, is that we don't eat what we find!
