RIP Dennis Hopper

Posted: May 29, 2010

He played in so many movies I enjoy, especially True Romance, my all-time favorite movie.  I think he contributed a lot to the industry with the quirky characters he wasn't afraid to play (and play well).

RIP Dennis...Another star will burn just a little bit brighter tonight because of you.

They come in threes - LK

Just yesterday, after the deaths of Art Linkletter and Gary Coleman this week, my husband was wondering out loud who the third would be. When it comes to deaths of well-known people, they really do seem to come in clusters of three.

"Things come in three" or "Bad things come in three" is an old superstitous saying. After 2 bad things happen you start looking for a third one and when it happens people think it proves their point, when the truth of the matter is a lot of other bad things (or good things) happen too. People just group them in 3s.

Yes, but it's gotta be trotted out at least once or twice or - 55x

Actually Mr. Hopper was #4. Paul Gray, the bassist for Slipknot, was found dead in his hotel room on Monday. Famous to some, not to others, but his demise sort of debunks the "in groups of three" tale.

Dennis Kuchinich: I'm No Fan Of Trump But He Has A PointMar 10, 2017
President Trump’s assertion that his phones at Trump Tower were tapped last year has been treated as hilarious—and in some circles as beyond contempt. But I can vouch for the fact that extracurricular surveillance does occur, regardless of whether it is officially approved. I was wiretapped in 2011 after taking a phone call in my congressional office from a foreign leader. That a secret recording had been made of this call was revealed to me by the Washington Times in 2015, a full two yea ...

Dennis Kucinich Explains Why He Voted No For Health CareDec 23, 2009
After voting against H.R. 3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement: “We have been led to believe that we must make our health care choices only within the current structure of a predatory, for-profit insurance system which makes money not providing health care. We cannot fault the insurance companies for being what they are. But we can fault legislation in which the government incentivizes the perpetuation, indeed ...
