Mystery Shoppers

Has anybody done this or know anyone that has done this? I can't understand why I have to pay to get jobs from them. I did unsubscribe to them but I'm wondering if anyone else did this on the side. ;

I never had to pay to get jobs, but the pay was very low. I used to shop gas stations, chain restaurants, department stores, etc. I think if you are to make decent money doing this, you have to live in or near a big city. I wish I could remember what the name of the company was, but it was so long ago.

There is a book entitled "The Mystery Shopper's Manual: How to get paid to shop in your favorite stores, eat in your favorite restaurants, and more!" by Cathy Stucker that can help you find out more about it. The book also contains a directory of mystery shopping organizations.

While it is a job, mystery shopping can be fun if you get good assignments like good restaurants or high-end retail stores. Just do your research so you don't get scammed, and do NOT pay anyone for a job! Best of luck to you.

In my case, wasn't worth it bec. I'm out in the boonies near a very small town, and I had to drive 30 minutes or more to get to the site I had to check out.

At the time I did it, most of the shops paid around $15, plus I'd get to buy a little something and have it reimbursed.

Part I didn't care for was the gas stations. Some of the shops required an extreme amount of detail about their signage both in and out of the store, which took a lot of time. No way could I memorize all of it for one gas station. Sometimes I had to take pictures, which I would then need to upload, adding to the time required.

Never, ever pay for a job.

Has anyone done the Wal-Mart Thanksgiving Thursday sale where they say the item is One-hour guarantee? I have read online that if they don't have the product in the store that they will ship it to you before Christmas, but my question is this.
