Has anyone ever frozen butternut squash? nm

I grow it in my garden, so I have excess squash right about this time of year. I cook it and then freeze it in plastic containers with a piece of wax paper over the squash. The only problem I have found is it is pretty watery when I thaw it, no matter how much I strain it before I freeze it. I just pour out as much water as I can before I reheat it.
