What kind of dog shampoo do you think is best and where do you get it?Smile

It would depend on if you had any special needs - sm

A lot of dog folk don't really recommend washing your dog any more than once or twice a year unless there is a specific need. If mine gets dirty, I try to get it clean with just water and if soap is necessary I use a baby shampoo.

I had a dog with severe allergies and the world's worst skin, and for her I used T-Gel human shampoo per the vet's recommendation. I believe a lot of people with sharpeis also use the same because of their inherently at risk skin.

I think if you're bathing for a flea problem, any one of the commercial flea shampoos is as good as any other.

I always used all natural pet shampoo and conditioner, until a breeder and shower recommended "Mane and Tail" shampoo and conditioner. It's not specifically for horses, and I buy mine in the grocery store along with regular people shampoo. It's tear-free, cheap, and leaves my long-haired critters soft and shiny. You can find it on-line too.

I've heard of these shampoos as well.... - dmc

The Mane and Tail I have heard many people use on their own heads as well as their animals and, according to them, it works great. My sister had a dog with an allergy, constantly scratching problem. Someone told her about T-Gel shampoo and she said it worked "instantly." Happy dog and happy owner. I have seen both of these shampoos in local grocery stores as well as stores like Walmart. I have a 14 year old long haired Chihuahua who seems to develop itching every summer. No fleas so after talking to my sister I think I will try the T-Gel as well. Good luck!

and have to bathe them frequently. I use Isle of Dogs, Plush Puppy, or Chris Christensen. You can check www.cherrybrook.com and find a great variety of good shampoos.

What Brand Of Shampoo/conditioner Do You Use?Jul 01, 2010
What brand of shampoo/conditioner/hair products do you use? Do you switch brands often or do you stick with just one all the time? I ran out of shampoo this morning and had to grab a bottle out of the cupboard that wasn't the same brand as the conditioner that I was going to use. Just wondering what brand of shampoo everyone else uses. I currently have Dove conditioner and Pantene shampoo in my shower. I switch brands all of the time. ...
