How is little Tiny girl doing since coming home?

How is Abby doing?  Did you get any results on her tests?

Thanks so much for asking. Tiny is getting stronger, and when I saw her Thursday she looked a lot better. My stepfather agrees she looks much better. Of course, she still has Cushing's. She is loving her new food which he bought at the hospital, and she really loves the variety she is getting with chicken, carrots and cottage cheese. We started her NuVet Plus, and she seems to love them. I'll update in a few weeks to let you and others know if they help alleviate Cushing's symptoms. I pray we can take her to the campground again this year. One of my friends has a beautiful campsite, and we took Tiny almost every Friday last season.

Thanks again for caring. I am concerned for Abby as well.

Doc called last night. Low normal thyroid but nothing to worry about. Nothing else showed up.

He's still thinking seizure and we are to watch her. If it happens again, we have to call him.

She's been doing okay since that night. I'm not....not sleeping well. I've been sleeping out in the living room with her and it not the most comfortable place to be. LOL

If she's okay after another week or two, I'll relax. She scared me this morning; woke me up at 1:30 a.m. whining and crying, but evidently only had to go out. I'm hoping the seizure was just a one time event.

Thanks for asking.

Hoping for the best - Christine

I know how you feel, and I am glad to hear so far Abby has been okay. Watch her, take care of her and cherish her. I wish you and her the very best.

Hoping for the best for Tiny, too. - Backwards Typist

Being so close to another family member (pet) can be tough at times. I haven't bonded with Abby the way DH has (got her for his birthday when she was a pup) and if anything would happen to her, he would be beside himself. I do worry about her because of DH's health problems.

I know what she wants when she wants it (doggie speak)more than he does and he often asks me to interpret. So I'm good for something. LOL Our foster son wants to give us another lab just in case, but I told him no because Abby rules the roost, and don't need her getting stressed out over a new pup. If she was younger, I'd say yes, but at 5 yo, no.

I hope your Tiny can get over this latest hurdle and wish the best for you, your family, and Tiny.
Thanks, "BT" - Christine

Being close to a pet has its abundant rewards, and its pain. I fear losing Tiny. I love her and Morry like my own kids. (I have never had children, not married, etc.) Tiny is 10 and will turn 11 July 10. When she got ill Tuesday of that week, and then was hospitalized that Thursday I was sick. For months now she has had the symptoms of Cushing's, and after they ruled out diabetes and waited for the steroid eyedrops to clear her system they tested her for that.

This is our fifth dog, and losing the other four was just terrible. However, I know they fell into the best hands, and God knows they were loved to the max by my family! I agree with you about not introducing another dog at this point. My mom and stepfather did that when our Westie was 9 years old, and Molly Mae never took to Tiny. She tolerated her, and at times when Tiny would overstep her bounds Molly Mae was at her. Good luck to you and your wonderful Lab. They truly are a magnificent breed!

So far, so good! - Shipwrecked

I know that "knots in the stomach" feeling when things aren't right, but it sounds like Tiny doing much better and liking her diet. I hope Abby's "spell" was a fluke. Seizures are scary to watch, but not really dangerous unless they're constant.

ANOTHER College Denies Christine O'Donnell AttendedSep 29, 2010
Another university is bringing Christine O'Donnell's self-professed education history into question Wednesday, as Claremont Graduate University, a school that the Delaware Senate candidate claims she attended, has told Talking Points Memo that they have no record of her being there. "Claremont Graduate University has no student or education record for an individual named Christine O'Donnell," Rod Leveque, a spokesman for Claremont told TPM Tuesday, despite O'Donnel ...

Of course any report strait from Limbaugh's page has to be unbiased. Speaking of Limbaugh - he stated if health reform passes he will go to costa rica.  What he forgot to research before making the statement is costa Rica health care coverage is "excellent"(american journal of public health) with life expectancy second only to canada in the western hemisphere.  They have long running state run programs with 98% coverage and no co-pays.  Private insurance is rare. GOP: Obamacare 'bending Over Backwards' For IllegalsSep 24, 2014
(WASHINGTON TIMES) The Obama administration has dragged its feet on revoking Obamacare coverage for people who can’t prove U.S. citizenship or legal residency, allowing some of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. to continue enjoying taxpayer-funded benefits, a Republican senator charged Monday. “The Obama administration is bending over backwards to give Obamacare to illegal immigrants but won’t protect hardworking American citizens who are losing their hea ...
