I am thinking of letting go of my terrible work insurance where the premiums are nearly $200 per month. I can quailfy for subsidies from Obamacare because my income is so disgustingly low.
I'm wondering if anyone has trouble with getting prescriptions covered? Do you have to pay full price for them and are those costs rolled into the deductible?
Did you have to change doctors? I believe I would have to do that if I select the bronze plan.
I figured out the cost of my current premiums and deductible equal approximately the same amount I would be paying for premiums and deductible under Obamacare, so why not go with Obamacare if I can save approximately $130 per month. I would just hope, as always, that I remain healthy and never have to worry about the deductible, which would be $4500 per year in my case.
Before anyone says open enrollment is already closed, yes, I know that. It closed on February 15th. However, if one's situation changes and/or they qualify for Obamacare subsidies because of low income, they are able to change over at any time according to what I've read.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
