Anyone follow this case? What do you think??....

I think she did it. - I know that people will

probably get very angry about that, but I think she did it.

Sometimes I think she did and... - sm

then I see another story and think she did not. I don't know to be honest. It would be a pretty shocking thing for a 20yo girl to do out of the blue. As far as I know, she had no history of any other troubles. Who knows. I think everyone gets what they deserve in the long run, so if she did it, she will get her comeupance.

Based on what? - NM

Based on what I have seen and read. What do - you base your opinions on?

Well, let's see. First of all, the lead prosecutor - who is now a SM
[ In Reply To ..]
convicted criminal, got his "theory" of the crime from a psychic, who got her information from a dead priest. An indepedent forensic team, INDEPENDENT being the operative word, reviewed all of the so-called forensic evidence and determined it was worthless and it was all thrown out. Another man was charged and convicted of the crime, and after being told that he would get his sentence reduced if he would implicate other people, implicated Amanda. Just off the top of my head. How about you? What info did you base your opinion on?
No reason to be a jerk. - I watched a show

with an ex FBI agent who was sent over by our government to decide whether or not we should intervene. He said that after going through all of the evidence, he was convinced that she was guilty. Didn't you wonder why our government wasn't trying to get her out of there? There is a reason.
She was not a jerk - no reason to call anyone names - sm

She stated her opinion of why she believes Amanda is innocent, which are all very good points. All the so-called evidence they had were all trumped up because they didn't like the lifestyle Amanda led. Even when this happened a friend of mine told me "well that's what she gets for partying". I'm thinking, because you don't approve of her life she should spend the rest of her life in jail for something she didn't do? Crazy thinking I'll tell you.

I never wondered why our government wasn't trying to get her out of there. Why would anyone even wonder that? There was no reason to. She was in another country being tried for a murder. That's a lot different than hiking in an unmarked area. Two different things. This had to work its way out through their system, not ours.

But calling someone a jerk because they have a difference of opinion than yours is not nice and so unnecessary. I did wonder to what you based your opinion on as to why you think she was guilty. If it was only because an FBI agent thought she was guilty, I just don't agree with that. There should have been solid evidence that linked her and put her at the crime scene. There was not.

There was plenty of circumstantial evidence. It wasn't - just what he said about what he thought

but what he said about the evidence. Our government has intervened in this sort of thing before and did not here because there was considerable evidence pointing to her guilt. Oh yeah, and she confessed. There was just as much physical evidence in this case as there was in the Casey Anthony case and people are still screaming that she got away with murder. I am entitled to my opinion, as well. She asked me what I based my opinion on, then proceeded to sarcastically tell me why I am dead wrong. I think she was being a jerk. I will stand by that, but thanks for the lectures.
And why is it that people get so hostile if - someone has a differing opinion.

I watched media from England (not from Italy because I don't speak Italian) and every media outlet has it's own slant. I am sure that everyone would feel very differently about this case if our media hadn't decided to call her innocent. Watch some of the British media on it and then ask a British person whether or not he/she thinks Amanda Knox is guilty and you will get a very different answer than you get here. I keep hearing about what a good girl she is, yet she was using drugs and implicated an innocent man in the killing. There was a clearly staged break-in to the house because the glass from the broken window was on top of the stuff on the floor of the ransacked room. Her story has changed over and over and over again. I don't think it was premeditated and I don't think she did it alone, but I do think that she just got away with murder. I respect your right to have a differing opinion and will not call you stupid because of it.
She never called anyone stupid and her post - was not hostile

Everyone has different opinions. Mine is that they saw a foreigner, young girl, with a boyfriend. She had a life that most of them who are old don't approve of. But there was no evidence tying her to the crime. My theory is she was out barhopping with her boyfriend and someone at the bar did the murder while she was out and framed her. it does happen. I've listened to the case and they didn't have one piece of evidence to tie her to it. She and the girl were good friends. Would people (not you in particular) but would anyone rather have had her there and then she too would be dead.

All these people who have opinions on what they believe happened is just that opinions. Doesn't matter if they are from England or US or wherever its only their opinions. I looked at what they said was evidence and there was nothing there.

And that is my humble opinion.

what did she do? - dont watch TV

Not even the news. I get my weather forcast in the evening, after the day is done... Today was rainy.

I get too depressed with the state of the world.

I think she is - sm

innocent. No hard evidence against her. Sure her behavior was a bit weird right after the murder, but remember she was in a foreign country, no interpreter and probably totally freaked out. The speck that was found on the knife turned out to be bread. The prosecuting attorney had it out for her.

I am so happy with the verdict - sm

That poor girl lost 4 years of her life for a crime she did not commit. I am totally excited about the verdict. I hope she can get some order back into her life. I'm happy for her and her family.

I think she is innocent and am glad to see her going home - cindy

I think she was a foreigner and they saw a convient opportunity to put the blame on her. I looked at all the evidence that they have presented on news reports and truely believe that she was innocent and easy to set up.
