With a negative magnifying glass put on law enforcement these days, if it is not causing them to get sloppy because they overthink the situation. You know that adverse effect you get when you try to do such a perfect job at anything, you usually make more mistakes than if you rely on your training, muscle memory, instincts, etc.
This was a sad accident. But I still am of the belief that if you resist the police, all bets are off. Cops have a responsibility in their conduct, but civilians have a responsibility in their conduct, also. That is never talked about.
