I heartily disagree - Hawley and Cruz did not just object

Posted: Jan 17th, 2021 - 7:00 pm In Reply to: I just read an article they the radicals are going to kick Cruz and Hawley - Truthhurts

They actually riled up the rioters with inciting speech and Hawley's now famous idiotic fist pump.

The third section of the 14th Amendment reads that no lawmaker holding office “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

These two disingenuously claimed since their poor constituents believed there was doubt about the election (although they themselves had to know there was absolutely none) they felt compelled to encourage the rioters. Weak sauce.

I hope they are challenged but let's face it, probably 2/3rds will not vote for that because Republican members of Congress now include QAnon members and most all of them are still afraid of Trump.
