I'm sure the surviving family members and friends of the people who died of COVID really give a flying you-know-what about your choosing to deny what is truly a life-and-death situation affecting millions of people. It scares me to think that you guys actually transcribe medical reports for a living and yet you're so cavalier and cold-hearted about a serious medical crisis that has left children orphaned and taken both young-and-old people from their loved ones way too soon. But keep on quoting those statistics and calling it hysteria if ignoring the reality of the situation helps you cope--whatever works.
