Morning prayer 10/21/2020 - sm

Posted: Oct 21st, 2020 - 9:17 am

For those who believe, this prayer is for us:

"Lord, help us to understand how You come alongside us and help us as we pray. We believe our prayers are good enough because you perfect them." As believers we pray for non-believers, because we can and we pray you hear our cries to guide them to you. Amen.

For those who do not believe, this prayer is for you as well.  If He "does not exist" and I, as a believer, am wrong, who does it hurt?

As Christianity gets attacked during this pandemic and during the election, I want to say something about the spirituality debate. You don't believe in God? Fine. Why is it so important for many of you to mock those of us that do? Why are your beliefs that he "isn't real" are more important than my belief in Him is?  If we're wrong, what have we lost when we die? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! We will all be 6 feet under, cremated, or whatever your burial reference is?  How does our believing in Jesus bring you any harm? You think it makes us stupid? Gullible? Fine. How does that affect you? Why should we be persecuted and you not for this belief?  If you're wrong your consequence is far worse. I would rather live my life believing in God, serving Him, and be guided by him and find out I was right, than not believe in Him and not serve Him, and find out I was wrong. Then it's too late. I believe in Jesus Christ. He said, "deny me in front of your friends & I will deny you in front of my Father."
HE'S COMING BACK!!!  Greatest Man in history, had no servants, yet they call him Master, He had no degree, yet they call him Teacher, He had no medicines, yet they call him Healer. He had no army, yet kings/rulers/presidents fear Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they persecuted and crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. He shed his blood for ALL, even the non-believers!
His name is JESUS!
I copied this with permission from a faithful believer friend of mine and these words really spoke to me.  Who will it hurt to believe?
