We should have been shut of - Obamacare long before now Posted: Jul 11th, 2020 - 12:12 pm In Reply to: I prefer keeping my insurance through my job. - But....everybody does not
You don't care about "the whole country." That's the smokescreen leftists throw up to defend their agenda.
Health insurance does not mean "health care." A "pre-existing condition" is a criterion for all sorts of insurance. It enables companies to keep premiums lower-and fair-for all policy-holders, whether it's insurance applied to an auto, home or health. Would you pay higher premiums because you care about "the whole country" to ensure coverage for another driver who's repeatedly been cited or arrested? How about paying more in renter's insurance so a landlord who's refused to modify a fireplace or stove can get coverage?
Keep your wailing about "the health of the whole country" to yourself. Before Obamacare I could negotiate and pay cash for procedures or tests. I'd offer to pay a physician cash on the spot and and ask for a discount. Everyone walked away happy.
Then Obama and his fellow travelers nationalized insurance, and prices went through the roof. Anytime government gets involved in anything that's what happens. I could afford neither insurance nor care.
I thank God that I haven't had any serious illness or injury in the intervening years. I thank God that that vile "mandate" was ruled unconstitutional, which it was. It should have been retro-active. The government's seizing an entire industry and related professions should be put out with the rest of the trash.
