CHOP finally forced to leave - Capitol Hill

Posted: Jul 2nd, 2020 - 1:07 am

The protesters, the homeless, the mobsters are gone, except for the huge mess they left behind and the unfortunate loss of 2 lives..

The mayor, I understand, wanted to perhaps preserve some of the “artwork” and “the garden area,” but I kind of doubt it now, especially after a protest was held in front of her house the other day led by none other than Seattle’s own councilwoman, Kshama Sawant, a member of Socialist Alternative. The mayor’s house was vandalized by some of the protesters. I’m no fan of Mayor Durkan, but Sawant is very dangerous for encouraging and rallying so much unrest in the streets of Seattle, topping it off by leading protesters straight to Durkan's home which could have resulted in so much worse than just vandalism.
