He may have aspirated vomit into his lungs as a result of being kept belly down while handcuffed and a knee supporting Chauvin's full weight on the back of his neck, plus the other officers holding him down. Anyone looking at what happened to Mr. Floyd can tell that he was in big trouble, laboring for breath. None of those officers were in danger for their lives at that point and they should have put Mr. Floyd in a sitting position and called the paramedics.

The last thing any decent police officer wants is to contribute to the death of someone while in their custody and will take the steps necessary to avoid that. Chauvin displayed very disturbing behavior - cold and calculating, disregarding concern from the other officer for Mr. Floyd's condition.

Hopefully the case will be expedited and handled fairly with all the evidence brought forth. Mr. Floyd's family deserves answers, Chauvin has a right to his day in court. As for the crowds causing destruction in the streets, who knows how long they'll keep up their antics..
