I know why people say they're protesting but that doesn't fit - the facts being reported. sm

I haven't seen anyone say why they're rioting, burning businesses, looting, and beating shopowners.

Read the complaint linked below. People say they're protesting police brutality and unfair treatment. That's not what is described on page 2 and 3 of the complaint.

Some quotes:
"While standing outside the car, Mr. Floyd began saying and repeating that he could not breathe. The defendant went to the passenger side and tried to get Mr. Floyd into the car from that side and Lane and Kueng assisted."

"The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by the police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death."

If Floyd couldn't breathe while standing it should be obvious that something other than Chauvin's knee on his neck was the problem.

I agree that Chauvin deserves his day in court. Maybe they'll find him guilty.

Still, I don't see any reason to protest what happened to Floyd. If they find Chauvin innocent do you think people won't riot and protest again?
