Right now the CDA's Section 230 affords media companies protection from liability for what users post. They've used this to shield themselves against allegations of slander, defamation, etc. on the grounds that they are "neutral platforms" that only provide an arena in which users can voice opinions.

Once they began censoring and "shadow-banning" users they crossed the line from "platform" to "publisher."
They appointed themselves arbiters of what was "post-worthy" and what wasn't. They made editorial decisions about what users would see and what they would not.

Their neat little tricks--shadow-banning, suspensions, terminations, "fact-checking," etc.-- are behaviors of publishers, not neural platforms.

Take your "dictatorship" spew elsewhere.
