A "reporter" with Bloomberg News asked if he "(saw) the potential, as many others in the Party do, for a new progressive era and opportunity for additional progressive steps(.)" After holding forth for a while, Newsom answered, "There is opportunity for reimagining a progressive era as it pertains to capitalism."
In other words, the totalitarian left is over the moon about an opportunity for control, aided and abetted to no small degree by those who would roll over to "be safe."
