I've read the thread, and I'm with you on this.
If you do what your husband wants to do, kind of leaving things open-ended, wouldn't that eventually just end up coming between you and your husband? What will you do when the Sunday your friend expects to see you at the meeting rolls around again?
A lot of Christians visit different churches before finding the one they eventually stay with. So, now after experiencing a bit of how Pentecostals worship, you can now go on and consider others you might like to. I would simply thank him for the invite. It doesn't mean you're rejecting your friend's faith, you're just still exploring and making discoveries of your own.
Worshipping God is so very deeply personal. No one can tell you how to do it. It's an expression of faith, joy, love, praise, and so much more, to God in the way that is you. It's being true to God and it's being true to yourself.
I hope things work out for the best..
