Democrats, and MANY Independents and Republicans will reject the coming fixed acquittal as 'legitimate' because Republicans prevented witnesses and documents in the trial. JUST LIKE TRUMP BLOCKED the same witnesses in the House.
They are PREVENTING those with firsthand knowledge/evidence of trump's crimes because if they allowed that testimony, it would be nearly impossible for the craven Republican Senators to acquit.
As Ana Navarro, a will known Republican conservative said, it is a profile in cowardice.
Even in the face of bombshell revelations by Bolton, a FIRST HAND WITNESS that the charges against trump are true, they still pretended like witnesses were not needed, changing the argument to suggest 'so what, he did it. Still not impeachable.'

Republicans said 'let's follow the Clinton trial protocols' WHICH INCLUDED WITNESSES AND DOCUMENTS - and then they twisted logic and incredulity to it's breaking point and said, 'nah bruh we aren't going to do that after all' cuz that won't help us a bit!
The strategy and defense changed on a whim, in the face of more than two bombshell stories proving trumps guilt and his total lack of character.

So you betcha! Trump is forever impeached in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of those who remember what fairness and honesty are all about HE IS GUILTY regardless of the pass he will get from his co-conspirators in Congress next Wednesday.
