town, it is not okay to give people an easy way to register to vote because they MIGHT be illegal. Well then, I guess you think being poor makes you a second class citizen. There used to be an argument against letting people of color register to vote, and that was they weren't educated or couldn't read well enough. Do you apply those standards to poor people too. You also would make it more difficult to register according to where someone lived, if it weren't sufficiently high-class enough to meet your standards. That way of thinking should have gone away a long time ago, but I guess it still exists. Too bad for poor people.
