"us?" Mr. DJT because he was asking for dirt on a political rival and said rival's son. So who do you think that would have helped if they muddied up Joe Biden's name, WHO? Well, DJT himself, not the country in general but DJT in particular. There isn't much difference between "me" and "us" in this case, and you know it.
