they will be unhappy and resentful, but if you teach them that success follows hard work and that anyone has the potential to be wealthy, you lose out on that big pool of resentful voters and will never get your socialist dictatorship utopia.

So teaching like that described in the article excerpt is absolutely crucial.

I think today the youth are being taught that there isn't a "level playing field" so they don't even try.
