I mentioned the 1st not being in peril (in my opinion), then should have paragraphed to talk about the 2nd amendment regarding guns. I don't think that's in peril either, just that it needs to be updated because ordinary law-abiding citizens DO NOT need automatic weapons (in my opinion). There will always be a right to bear arms, don't worry. Just vote for the lawmakers you think will see things the way you think they should be, and if things don't go your way, well that's democracy for you.
