I spent the night cleaning up the board. I got rid of personal insults and hateful posts.
I'm seeing a lot of good conversations from all ranges of whatever politices you believe in. Please keep it that way.
If someone is talking about politicians, media and public figures, people they see on TV or whatever other than you, don't report them. They have the right to give their opinion. If they think someone (other than anyone on this board) is a communist, liberal fascist, right-wing, left-wing, lunatic, or any other thing that suits your fancy have fun. Just don't use it against posters inhibiting them from enjoying the board.
Someone brought up the subject of freedom of speech. Yes, this is America, we have freedom of speech, but that does not mean you have the right to come on this board, attack other posters, ridicule them, and make it so they cannot enjoy posting on this board. It also does not mean you can post obscenity, hate speech, threats, especially against whomever is holding the office of the president. It does not matter who they are, it is an office that our military people fight for to protect. With so many threats in our country, keep them off this board. If you feel the absolute necessity to voice hateful threats there are plenty of other places you can do it.
Keep it cool people. Continue with discussion of issues that are important to you. Also know this is a political board. You have to have a thick skin and ignore posts you just don't like.
