Not a victim either, just a realist - and one who loves MT

I am self employed now as an IC and working my way back up to earning a living wage I hope.

For this, I turned to Australia and working for an Australian company AND typing about the Australian health system is an education unto itself (it is fantastic - they spend half our GDP and it is paid for by taxing every taxpayer just 2%).

I personally think we, as workers, at least need some basic rights and I feel they are being torn away one by one, and this rah rah business stuff does nothing for us poors.

Trump promised better and cheaper health insurance. That's a crock. He promised jobs jobs jobs and the figures show there is less unemployment, and yet...It seems like the reason is people are getting two and three jobs just to make enough to live, so is that great for the poors? I think not. Higher salaries? I know no one who has had that.

I live in a depressed rural area which is not getting less depressed and rural. At all. A lot of people voted for Trump and they never blame him for anything.

Personally, I think this country is in a new dark ages in more ways than one and I don't see it getting better for anyone except those stock market people and CEOs frankly.
