‘liberal arts’ has become monochromatic and totally dominated by the LEFT. Academia swims in the sea of LEFTism and fails to see anything good in conservatism. It is especially dangerous with history as that is the perspective that is used to measure against ‘current events.’

Where I take major umbrage with this author is his apparent sentiment that Conservatives should just sit back and take it and not lower the level of discourse.

Well, we have been doing that for decades against a Left that has not only shown zero restraint on its side, but has harnessed the power of a willing and compliant Leftist media and actually IMPLEMENTED this discourse into its party platform as strategy. And look where it got us. We have been running a rear-guard action for decades.

To the Left, “civility” is a one way ratchet for them, and we are somehow terrible for fighting back. That's why Trump was elected.

I am all for the “incivility” if that is what people like this author wish to call it, and he can just step out of they way. I don’t care what he says, as long has he doesn’t take sides with the Left or aid their cause, which he is doing in the article.

Fighting back against deception, mischaracterization, character assassination, and outright defamatory and bold-faced lies is not incivility, though the author apparently views it as such.

Obama called me a clinger, Hillary called me a deplorable, Trump calls me an American.
