Stop with the myth that illegals only do work US citizens - will not do

It's a big lie. My husband worked for years in a construction union, until illegal immigrants started to be sent out on jobs before the union members. That's right--he dug ditches, etc, in 90-plus degree heat and below-zero temperatures. He busted his ass for years and was happy to do it. Now at age 60, it has been difficult for him to get steady work for years.

Here are some facts: Illegals who go to work in construction are so happy to work that they will neglect all safety protocols (management loves it because they are time-consuming and costly), work through lunches, keep their mouths shut when they are not paid what they're supposed to be paid, including benefits, and don't report on-the-job injuries. What do you suppose that does to labor standards, not to mention the US citizens who are pushed out of jobs they have had for years?

"...picking tomatoes is hard work. Be careful what you wish for." Just stop with this crap. Lots of US citizens are more than happy to bust their humps. The notion that they are not is a big fat liberal lie.
