I was going to suggest Project Guttenberg. I haven't used it in quite a while. It's a huge website with literally thousands of titles. I enjoy classic literature and got quite a few books from them for free. You will need to dig or know what you are looking for because as I remember it wasn't arranged in any particular order and you probably wouldn't find anything new but it's worth checking out, sometimes there will be titles on Amazon/Kindle that you can find for free elsewhere. I have an iPad but mainly use the Kindle app, but there is also iBooks if you have an Apple device. They have free stuff but of course they make you dig for it. I think there are other free sites but I can't remember the names. So many choices, so little time! Enjoy your search.
