Prime is not the only place you can use to access free reading material. Most local libraries offer books and periodicals (newspapers, magazines, audio books) that you can borrow after you install and app called Overdrive on your device, the length of time you are allowed to keep something is based on the popularity and other factors. There are also a lot of books that are in public domain that you can and own for free. I thought that if you had a Prime family membership that you could share, I know they offer family memberships to the music service.
