This very country was founded on arguments and protests....that is why we are here. Patriotism means being FOR the country. It does not mean being FOR the president. If I were going to compliment him to this extent, I think I would certainly read his tweets as this is how he shares his ideas and policies with the American people, and they are very telling, although I do not believe deserving of much respect. As far as him helping economists, he does not listen to them. Much of "Trump's" business success has come from swindling people and bankrupting companies he owns to relieve him of debts he has left behind. You cannot run a country like that.

Our Constitution does not say anything about God, Jesus or Christianity. It does mention all men's "creators," which obviously means different things to different people. I do not expect a POTUS to be a Christian, but I do expect them to be honest and trustworthy and I do not find that in Trump, quite the opposite. Hitler had a "position too," still....I don't owe him respect. I do not believe that Trump has "harmed no one." There are unintended consequences to many things Trump has done and intends to due simply due to lack of forethought. But even if IF, IF he hasn't harmed anyone, most of what he has done has been to benefit the top 1% in this country and/or provide more corporate welfare, or "giving with one hand, taking with the other."

I also agree with the above poster, respect is earned. We have checks and balances and laws in government, which allows people to protest in many ways. Why would they do that? Because they have lack of respect for one person or another. I could show a complete stranger more respect that I could "Trump." Because I believe much of what he does is self-serving and not to MAGA. But like I said, only my opinion, and we all have them, even if they sound like passing judgment on others in the name of the Bible.
