John 1:1 - Peppermint Patti

The scripture at John 1:1 clearly does show that Jesus is "The Word." The original words in Greek for God and god actually have two different spellings. The translation should read: "..and the Word was a god." The confusion with translating from Greek to English is the fact that the Greek language does not use articles (i.e. a, an, the). If you look at John 1:14-18 "...The Word became flesh...the only-begotten son (the first-born of all creation - Col.1:15 - making Jesus the only creation made directly from his Father, Jehovah)...vs.17 - mediator compared to Moses...vs.18 - only-begotten..No one has seen God at any time...at the Father's side...King James reads at John 1:18 - No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Thus making him Jehovah's spokesman (the Word), his son (first-born of all creation - Col. 1:15), in the bosom of the Father. Yes, in the bosom, very close relationship and loved dearly by his Father. 1 Timothy 2:5 - ...one God and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus. Jesus was approved as the king at the time of his baptism when his father declared: "This is my son, the beloved, whom I have approved." Jesus remained obedient throughout his life here on the earth and then shed his blood for a ransom (for many). Jesus earned his kingship of God's kingdom because of his love, obedience, loyalty and thus, would be leading the war (Armageddon)
