In Plato's allegorical The Cave, the sheeple shoot the messenger who brings them information that they dislike or that makes them uncomfortable. They would MURDER before relinquishing their death grip on more palatable LIES, despite their insistence that they want the TRUTH and are tellers of TRUTH.
That is evident nowhere more than this board.
Processing facts that you don't like is an indication of critical thought.
