I say get rid of the illegal parents and keep the children as long as they can be proven to be productive or still in school with a productive goal in mind. If their parents want to come back at some point, let THEM do it the right way. Set a precedent to these parents that illegality is not tolerated in our country.
As an aside, my parents are immigrants also and moved to Detroit in the 1950s to work in the auto industry. Detroit is a mini melting pot and a wonderful place to be raised back in the day. I learned of cultures from all over the world and still have friendships from school days. None of my friends nor their parents did anything illegal. It was unthinkable then.
