Politics because of leftward politics - Referred to

Posted: Jan 6th, 2018 - 10:55 am

I try to leave the faith club alone....board....cuz I'm only going to disturb them.   Politics is more open...

This was on FB feed...

A personal friend of mine is going through this right now. IM DISGUSTED
Just found out that I've been "uninvited" from an invitation only private bible study group that I've been a part of for over 11 years (NOTE: This was a private study, and NOT affiliated in any way with any church). This was the first non-church related bible study I had ever been a part of, and I am angry and frustrated...but not surprised. I knew this was coming. The reasoning given in the email was as follows:
"Dear Matt. While we have enjoyed walking with you on your Christian journey, we believe that the time has come to part ways. As you know, the majority of the group has agreed on a new focus that places a high value on orthodox Christian beliefs and practices. As a result, we feel that your openness about your lifestyle and leftward politics precludes you from further participation in our Bible study. While we value diverse opinions, we feel that your responses to study questions have fallen outside of what we deem acceptable. I understand how you may feel about this decision, but please understand that we reserve the right to determine who can and cannot participate in the study, and feel that maintaining orthodoxy in the discussion is of utmost importance to everyone's Christian walk.
All the best, ______. "

So, anyone wonder why less and less people identify with religion.
