Sure, it's none of my business, especially considering I am past my child-bearing years. However, I do have a disabled son, although he is still high functioning and is brilliant. Despite never regretting for an instant having my son and raising him to be the young man he is, I can't agree with banning parents from having the right to terminate a pregnancy that would result in a disability for the child. It's not the decision of politicians, of lawmakers, it's wholly the decision of the parents. I'm a mother of a disabled child and a conservative, but I could not agree more that this is none of their (or mine, really) business. I also do not believe abortion should be as abused as it is, however, there should be no question that it remain a legal and safe option when truly needed.
