I saw a few articles on this and it was going - to his desk

Whether you are pro-choice or against abortions, I'm not sure why he would single out women carrying children with Down's syndrome.

I tried to look at this from something from my own experience. When I was 5 months pregnant, I was told there was something funny in my blood and I should have an amniocentesis. I stupidly asked why. They said "while there is still time." I said "time for what?" They said if there is something wrong, there is still time to have an abortion. I was freaked out not only at the thought that I may be carrying a child with Down's syndrome but the fact that anyone would think I would abort a 6-month old fetus who I had just seen waving at me in an ultrasound. LOL I told them I would not have an abortion even if they told me my child did have Down's. Abortion is just not for me and I will live and love whatever God gives me.

Though I am Pro-Choice, I believe abortions should only be done in maybe the first trimester. This, however, is isn't a law against late-term abortions in general. I am unfamiliar with what tests they have now at an earlier point in the pregnancy so don't really understand this law. If they can be tested early in the pregnancy and the parents decide they cannot care for a Down's syndrome child then why would it be against the law for them to abort.

Crazy stuff in this world.
