I think you are missing the whole point. I do KNOW that 500 people were shot. Not 5, 15, or 50, but 500!! I KNOW that most people would not carry a semi-automatic weapon to a country music concert expecting to have to defend themselves. I KNOW that the government has the ability to control what kind of guns we have, and it is highly unlikely anyone would agree to allowing private citizens to have the same guns the military uses, but we'll see. No where did I state that the Constitution should be changed. I believe in the second amendment. I own a gun. I KNOW that ALL firearms in this country are not capable of killing 500, 1000, or more people in less than 12 minutes. Besides, I KNOW that the government already dictates what type of guns citizens can own so you are not actually changing the Constitution. I am not uninformed at all! If people want a hand gun to kill themselves, so be it. If they have a hand gun and break the law, you expect even that to happen. What I don't expect, is for the government to allow semi-automatic weapons that can be turned into machine guns to kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible. No law can stop murder even though it is illegal, you just don't have to supply someone the means to do it on such a large scale. This is only common sense to me.
