Off-shoring in Phoenix

Waste Management is a big-deal corporation in these parts. I'm waiting to see if there is any backlash from this, especially from employees who were relocated to Phoenix a short time ago.

I realize this is about as far from transcription as you can get, but it's pertinent in that management boldly states this action will result in "a lower cost (for labor) with demonstrably improved efficiency and better quality." Ouch. I wonder if MTSOs quoted anything similar before they screwed this industry over.

since you are in the area, do the customers have a choice to go with a different company or service? If they lose customers in protest, they may think twice. Also, will the customers bill go down since they are "saving" so much money? In my area the answer is usually no, we are still charged the same.
