First of all, if anyone owes an apology, it's McCain for starting the whole thing by calling Trump's supporters "crazies." Funny how that gets left out of the discussion.
Second, while Trump's comments were undoubtedly impolitic, they're nothing that hasn't been heard before from Democrats, since before the 2008 Presidential campaign. For instance, General Wesley Clark saying that "getting shot down in a plane doesn't qualify you to be President" while others have pointed out that he produced propaganda videos for the Viet Cong while in captivity. Excused on the basis of torture, of course, but there were others who were tortured and didn't yield to such demands, and that's been forgotten, too. Democrats weren't bashful about trivializing Bob Dole's military service during his Presidential run, either. So all this phony outrage from the liberal side isn't worth the paper it's printed on. McCain probably had no idea how many liberal friends he has...although he should, based on his voting record.
And that's point three - for Donald: Attack McCain's voting record - a RINO if ever there was one. If someone points out that McCain is a "war hero", just say "That doesn't entitle him to call my supporters names, does it?" You won't get an answer.
