I think a lot of people can empathize with you. I too no longer trust churches or religion PER SE; I trust my own heart. After joining a church several years ago after being away for a good amount of time, what do I find? First thing they want is 10% of my annual income. Ha! Forget it! However, I do believe we are on this earth to learn lessons and so I just say "I continue to learn and do my best to hang in there." I keep trudging on. We simply "have to" ...
