I have to say I am a liberal-minded person, and I agree that we need to help the people in this country more than we do. The Hatians were poor when they came here, and they will be poor when they leave. I do not mind so much that we make contributions to other poverty-stricken countries, to a point, but we cannot take care of the world. We are not doing a good job of handling our own poverty and tax delegations, as well as our veterans. I know this sounds heartless, but just look at the struggling Americans who are living on the streets and shelters.
