Its hard - Backwoods Typist

Making that decision for our furry kids is NEVER easy. Somehow, some way they let us know when enough is enough. I have never had to make the call myself (have had 1 dog that got cancer and went on his own), but parents have several times. When ours was diagnosed with cancer, we decided to make the "decision" based on his quality of life. In the end, he decided how and when for us. Miss him terribly. We dreaded having to possibly make that choice for him. He had a good quality of life until his last minute with us and nothing let us know otherwise.

Watching our companions get old is hard. Give time for the medication to work before making any decisions for him. Will be thinking of you and your lil man. I am sure that you will find the strength within you that if it has to be done, you can get it done. Rest assured that you are giving your buddy the best life you possibly can. Just spoil him a little extra with extra hugs, kisses and love.
