I haven't said too much about this election since the start....but this is how I feel....
I'm noticing that a lot of you aren't graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.
Some of you are apparently "triggered" because you are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.
How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened!
You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.
You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.
You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.
You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.
You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.
You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.
You created "us" when you attacked our flag.
You created "us" when you took God out of our schools.
You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.
You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.
You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.
You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.
You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.
You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.
You created "us" the silent majority.
You created "us" when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers.
You created "us" when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors.
You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.
You created "us" when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn't remove your hat during our National Anthem.
You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.
And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.
And we did it with ballots, not bullets.
With ballots, not riots.
With ballots, not looting.
With ballots, not blocking traffic.
With ballots, not fires, except the one you started inside of "us"
"YOU" created "US".
It really is just that simple.

who was elected president, but I did not do any of the things in your list. I'll tell you what I am going to do instead though. I am going to remain engaged in the political process. I am going to make my thoughts and opinions known in a respectful way. I am going to stay on top of the goings on in government and in the world. Democracy only works when one does not just lie down and take what comes their way. It survives when everyone is engaged in discourse, and that includes all of us--left, moderate, right, etc., and actually listen thoughtfully to one another. Can we all do that? If we do, we will make a better life and country for everybody.
Good post - sm

From the first sentence of your post, I can say that you and I are opposites on the political spectrum, at least in the current political environment. That said, however, I would still consider us to be of like minds in ideology, for lack of a better word. I think we as a society have lost the ability to respectfully agree to disagree, recognize that we probably have a lot in common with many common goals, and then encourage (strongly) our "leaders" to work with the legislative tools available to meet those goals so we all have better lives. I am optimistic enough to believe we can find a way to get this talent back, beginning with treating people as we ourselves want to be treated and listening carefully to each other, hopefully sooner rather than later. Your post proves to me that my optimism is not misplaced.
That's how us "deplorable" feel. I totally understand - the sentiment. But remember, we are all

Americans. We just seem so divided, like during the Civil War. The president is supposed uphold the Constitution, that is what binds us. Somewhere along the line, we've taken a 180 degree turn. It's been slow in coming since the 20th Century.

by putting Trump in office???? Of course, he's a white male CEO. Maybe Trump will give him a cabinet position.
That's rather racist, don't you think? - sm

It seems people are attempting to resort to reverse racism these days. Guess what? It won't work.

racist at all. Look at all his cabinet picks. Just the facts Ma'am.
Republicans were accused of racism everytime we - disagreed with BO (EDITED).

Our statements were not "meant to be racist at all" either.
Well, I - didn't

call anybody a racist and I'm not one either.
It's shameful that the House Dems including John Kerry are - skipping the inauguration. How childish.

What kind of example does that set?
That being said, let's not focus on them and focus on MAGA!
I would expect nothing more from John Kerry. - Look at his history.

Purple Heart.
Swift boat.
Voted for it before I voted against it.
The man is a loon!
They probably didn't want to watch the more - childish Babyman get sworn in as Prez.

He should have respect for the position and the process - just saying

All the republicans put on their big boy pants and went to Obama's inauguration because they respected the position, the will of the people and the process of peaceful transition of power. No they did not agree with his policies but they went anyway out of respect.
The democracts apparently do not respect the will of the people, do not respect the process or the office and do not want a peaceful transition of power. The list of democrats who will be the first to go in 2018 is getting longer and longer. Now it is just easier for the republicans to know who to go after.
If Hillary can go then the rest of the dems can go too. It is almost like the democrats just want to keep fighting and never get anything done.
It's not easy to respect the position or the process - when Donald Trump is the result.

Obviously something is very, very wrong with the whole system, and with half the voters in this nation.
It wasn't the - will of the people
[ In Reply To ..]
You must have forgotten that almost 3 million more of the people voted for Hillary.
I could say the same for the republicans. They just want to keep on fighting and never get anything done. They proved that through the whole Obama presidency.
Just think of it this way, if the democrats don't go to the inauguration, it will give Donald something to tweet about on his weekend off.
It wasn't the will of the American people, it - was most likely the will of Putin.

When Were Superdelegates Created?Feb 15, 2016I don't know when superdelegates got to be legal or in elections. From the time I was in high school way, way back, there were no such things.
Are they legal. If you ask me, we are letting the elections be manipulated by just the elite or certain people instead of the whole country.
I think we should abolish the electoral college, superpacks, superdelegates and get back to a popular vote. That is the only way that the elections are not bought and paid for by anyone.

'Job-killing' Obamacare Actually CreatedApr 19, 2017"The anti-Obamacare crowd has been trying to torture job statistics almost from the inception to try to justify their job-killer meme. As part of their campaign, they’ve claimed that the law has pushed more Americans into part-time work, since the mandate requiring employers to provide employees with coverage won’t apply to part-timers. Right-wing billionaire Charles Koch floated this claim via USA Today in 2014 and Andy Puzder, the CEO of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee&r ...
