injection for IHSS

My husband has IHSS and they are going to put him on some kind of injection.    He also has myasthenia gravis and bipolar disorder.   He has numerous medical problems and takes numerous p.o. medications.  Any clue why they might start an injection?  Talked about infusion for anemia as well.  I'm stumped.

Instead of the traditional 3-shot method they're going to try a 1-shot deal. Inmates taking the 3-shot method take about 7 minutes to die.
