Not a fun subject but I have toenail fungus
Posted: Feb 27, 2015
would like to know if anyone here has had the same problem and how did you get rid of it? Been to the doctor, tried prescriptions, had to have 1 toenail removed before. Any answers?;

Had the same problem. Did a prescription of Lamisil. My podiatrist said it will take two prescriptions to completely get rid of it so will start the second prescription shortly.

Put it around and under the nail as much as you can at least 3 times a day. It will take a few months, but it really works wonders!
I wouild at least start with - prescription Lamisil

I have heard of using Vicks and other home remedies, but cannot imagine how this would work as an antifungal. Also if this is recurrent, get blood work for immunodeficiency disorders such as HIV.
OP- My father had fungus from the time I remember him - up until his late 80s

His was really bad, thickened toenails and fingernails, more than probably a 20 times thickness. He probably had his from the 1930s to the 70s, finally got treated at Duke University. I wss told by the podiatrist some time ago mine was from a pedicure. Had never had one before and this was in my 60s. Have not had one since. I took Lamisil, even had a toenail removed, used some medication although do not remember the name, don't know if it ever truly went away or just simmered but having said that, I never would get another pedicure ever again. No way concerned about getting ID tested.

I've also tried prescriptions with no improvement so now I'm trying some of the suggestions in the link below. Will try the Vicks that someone suggested also as I haven't tried that. Good luck

I used a liquid athlete's foot med - TrampledUnderfoot

I didn't want to go to the doc and certainly didn't want a prescription med, so I got an OTC liquid athlete's foot med and painted it on consistently day after day, both on top and all around my nails, trying to saturate it as much as possible. It worked.
Use vinegar for toenail fungus...sm - MT55

This was on the Today Show years ago, & it does work: Soak your toenails in vinegar for 20 mins. once a week for 4 weeks.

Not A Nice Subject Jun 08, 2012I am so angry now I can't see straight. The guy who lives downstairs gave me a gift I never wanted or expected. . . . . cockroaches. I saw the first one late Wednesday night, and last night saw the second one. I called my landlord, who lives next door to me. His house is connected to mine. He says he will get right on it and will call an exterminator. A few years ago I had mice due to the guy downstairs. He is a likeable enough guy, and I know ...

Paying Ransom To Terrorists Is Subject To Prosecution (2014)Aug 04, 2016journalist James Foley, who was beheaded by ISIS on August 19, told ABC News that government officials threatened the Foleys to stop them from paying a ransom to free their son.
